We expand to Rudersdal Municipality

Big news! From 22 August 2024, you can use GreenMobility in Rudersdal Municipality. With the opening of our many new satellite zones with Hotspots, it is possible to park a GreenMobility car near key transportation hubs – see them all on the list below.

The new zones will make it possible for residents in Rudersdal or Copenhagen to use GreenMobility’s electric cars for daily commuting, run errands, get to and from leisure activities, drive between Copenhagen and Rudersdal, and much more.

The expansion is a collaborative effort between GreenMobility, Rudersdal Municipality, and the Capital Region of Denmark, as part of the EU-supported project GEMINI. The project aims to test and validate shared mobility services to tackle urban challenges like climate change, air quality, road safety, social inclusion, and accessibility, and the grids of mobility hubs will enhance the integration of public transport with shared mobility options, boosting accessibility and flexibility.

New zones and Hotspots

The new zones in Rudersdal Municipality are marked on the map in the GreenMobility app and with a blue Hotspot icon, so you can easily find them. You can click on each Hotspot icon in the app to get information about the available parking spaces. On the streets, the reserved parking spaces are marked with a blue parking sign and the text “Delebiler” (Car-sharing) or “Hub-cars”. At some of the parking spaces, it is also possible to charge the car.

Please note that the spots at each Hotspot are shared with other mobility services and are not exclusively reserved for GreenMobility. If the spots are taken, you are welcome to park at a public parking space nearby within the marked zone in the app.

The project aims to kickstart a change in mobility habits in Rudersdal Municipality and reduce car ownership for households with more than one car or provide access to a shared car for households without a car. Additionally, a good synergy between GreenMobility and other modes of transport can make it easier to get around for activities in the municipality, such as sports, shopping, and cultural experiences.
